Sydney Harbour
This pic of mum and me is on our first day in sydney. We'd got the underground from where we were staying and when we arrived at sydney harbour the underground turned into an overground and it must have the best view from a station in the world. We arrived to bright blue sunshine and an amazing view of the bridge and the opera house.
It was really weird, you see these building on new years eve celebrations and expensive holiday programmes and i never thought i'd be lucky enough to see them.
Holidays Part 3 - Melbourne
Back on the hols again. We arrived in Australia a few days before the commonwealth games so had time to catch our breath and meet all our relatives at a barbie.
It was great to see everyone, i can't remember hardly anyones name (i blame it on the jet lag - not the wine sharon and wayne kept on plying me!) Everone was really friendly and welcoming and it was if we'd know each other for years.
Sharon and Wayne (who we stayed with) were really friendly and it would be great to see them in the uk soon. They even had more patience with my mum who had "koala issues"....
Here's a pic from the opening ceremony of the commonwealth games. It was a great atmosphere plus we had a flashy light thing to wave. We kind of saw delta goodram singing but there were so many pyro's it looked as if she was on a bonfire, thank god she was'nt wearing polyester!!!!
Who's got the best back passage?
The gardening gloves are off this year. I can officially announce that we'll be entering this year's Saltaire Backyard Competition!!!!
After last years failed attempt, me and steve are back. Bigger, better and more budha's than a buddist temple!
Our tasteful and innovative back yard was snubbed last year for a twee countryside thing with spotty seats (what's worse was that it was one of our friends who won and we are still being reminded to this date). Stef was also non plussed that she did'nt win and Nichole tried the au natrale concept of lying in the back garden naked with a hose, a smile and a broken gazebo!!!
Watch out for photo updates and we'd welcome ideas to sabotage other peoples spotty gardens!!!!

Out of Sink??!!!
just reaslisied i'm babling about nothing and forgetting to talk about the holiday to australia and bore you all to death. Anyway here's a picture of one of our girls. Me and steve are now parents to nine fish (one was brutal murdered by gin - the next doors cat!)
In the pond at the we have the Royalty - Diana, Camilla and Fergie (Gin killed Margaret in more ways that one!)
The kitchen we have the girls to little greedy gits which are fed to often and are nosy eaters too.
Finally the new additions have been a damp squib. We bought four shiney new fish to go in the pond at the back as and added bit of umph for the back yard competition(more about that later). They are bloody useless we want performing fish that scurry around at the top not boring buggers hidding at the bottom where you can't see them. We decided for the judging in august we may place some carrots in the ponds which look like fish....
Nichole
May I humbly apologise to my pal nichole. She set up her own friday blog and last week received a torrent of abusive for her friends... It was un called for and hope that Nichole and Norman Lamont live happily ever after together.
More importantly Anne Widdecombe has been pestering me for your email address....
Here's a picture of Nichole (L) and Allie (R) on a canal holiday last week astride a large piece of wood, maybe they are thinking of norman?

Hong Kong Part Two!
We chickened out on the chinese food in hong kong as we had been warned by people that the food was nt the standard chinese fayre we would be used to> we were nt wrong either chicken livers<>
(my keyboard is playing up hence no commas and full stops!)
the picture is of me looking like i am about to get shot whilst looking at the tacky souvenirs and fake goods in the night markets around hk> the night markets we re okay typical tourist fayre but you could get an odd bargain i bought some fake tiffany jewellr which looks no different from the real thing> mum bought some jade tat and the the best photo opportunity (which i haven t put on here) is of mum posing outside some stalls but the stalls are selling butt plugs dildos and other marital aids!!!!
Club Foot
Hong Kong March 2006
Okay sorry i'm going to bore you all with holiday pictures pictures.
Back in March mum and me went on a jolly to Australia, before that we had a stop off in hong kong. We stayed on HK island for the duration great location, transport links were cool. On the downside it was misty as hell and it felt as if you were in New York or any other hi rise corporate city. I prefered Kowloon island where there was more character and the contrast between rich and poor was very noticable.
Mum was knackered after about an hour in HK i was dashing off at a million miles an hour (as i usually do) and mom was hobbling around with her club foot! (sorry mum). Bundling her into the back of a ricksaw was a very tempting idea.....
