New Years Eve Update

Well it all got a bit hairy a few hours before people were arriving. We had people dropping like flies and calling off. Steve's was in a foul mood and mopping around that no one was coming (which was true as there was'nt!!!).

Anyway we glammed up the house (a lot more tasteful than 05/06's Hula Hawaiian Hogmany!) and waited for the chosen few.... By now steve had down a few too many vodka and tonics to cheer himself up!

By about 10pm we had a 8 people, not impressed. We then lost 2 as one was'nt feeling very well. Now down to six at 10.30pm. It was all doom and gloom until a knock at the door and there was a vision!!!!!!

It was christine and her friends and family plus little richard and few of his guests. It had been transformed from a wake and party in 1 minute!!!! yeah! From 6 people to 20!!

It was great to see christine and her family as they'd had a death in the familiy 2 days before christmas so we were'nt expecting them.

We partied till the early hours with my cheesy music, fireworks, champagne and bacon sandwiches.

So i'm afraid in all the excitement i did'nt take any photos of the party only the set up and the pictures of a not amused steve.

We had a good time in the end but many of our other friends were'nt there and were missed as they were holidaying in ireland, dubai and new zealand... like you do.

Christmas Update...

Sorry bit of a belated happy new year!

Anyway an update of whats been happening over the past few weeks....

Christmas was good, I was around at my brothers house for christmas day with his wife jess and they gave us the great news that she was 12weeks preggers and the little one with have uncle rich and uncle steve!!

Christmas was mainly rattling between Bradford (work), York (keeping mum happy) and Scarborough (Steve and his family). My pet hate is slow drivers on the A64 between York and Scarborough.......grrrrrrrrr.

We went to the casino a few time in sunny scarb and did rather well on the roulette - i ended up being £120 quid up one night. I'm not exactly the last of the big spenders as i was putting little 50p bets here and there and spreading the out accross the table.

A the joys of christmas

So far so good at the panto, no major problems yet apart from a gaggle of children all being sick at the same time - nice!

The 3D stuff is going really well its better watching the audience reaction when the spider flies out at them.

Anyway here's a preview of one of steves christmas presents, he's seen it already so it does'nt matter.

Also had a big day on Wednesday 20th. can't go too much into to it but things should start getting better for me from know on.... don't worry i'm not on deaths door!

It's like steeping into the unknown as i said above it will be better for me in the long run but a little pain and hassle has to endure for an odd year or two.

Happy christmas everyone!

Rich x

Next stop NYE Party!!!!!!!!!!!

New Years Eve 06/07 Shaken Stirred and hopefully Sozzled!

Steve's more of a Christmas person, i'm more of a new years eve person hence we're pulling out all the stops for New Years Eve in salubrious Saltaire this year!

Last year it was grass skirts and coconut bras. this year at myrtle mansion we're having a more glamourous james bond casino royale theme.

I've been buying all the tat you can think of... glitter curtains, silver balloons, five mirror balls and spot lights, roulette wheel, flashing lights dodgy party music, kareoke and most importantly champagne, bacon sandwiches and fireworks at midnight

Watch this space for the pictures in a few weeks time!

So far the other sisters are looking after her...

Money Money Money!

My jobs getting weirder and weirder, last week i was wrestling around at work on the floor with a bloke in stocking and suspenders!

This week it gets even stranger...

Monday night we had opening night of the Merchants of Bollywood at St George's Hall. It's a bollywood musical which has been squeezed into St G's and is going down a storm.

About 20 minutes from the end of the show i had a call that a man had thrown some money at the stage. (I was thinking coins and drunks in the audience), as i was going up to investigate i heard a call over the radio that one of my guys was having a heated argument with a customers.

It turns out that a drunken bloke had thrown £500 worth of £10 notes off the dress circle and into the stalls below!!!

By now people were scrabbling around trying to get the money! He then threw another few hundred quid off the DC... at the end we only managed to get £120 back to the owner... This jobs just gets stranger!

Rocky Horror @ St G's

Well well well, what an entertaining week i've had at St G's this week.

We've had the rocky horror show on for the full week. It's the first time we've had such a product at george's and it worked really really well, i think the atmopshere was better than the alhambra. Whats more we sold more tickets too. over 8000!!!

The picture is of steve and steph at the aftershow party on friday night. it was about 2.00am so they're are looking a bit worse for wear. Steve looked more like a rough hooker from thornton road!

99.9% of the audience have been great. Good laugh and very friendly, but there's always one...

Friday night i had a run in with a customer, (can't go into it touch much i'm afraid). Lets just say he deserved to be taken away by the police. He got his come up ance as he was bundle into the back of the police car wearing red stillettos, stockings and a delighful basque.....
the police were pissing themselves laughing!!!

need i say more :0)
