Just chillin in the road!!!

Just had one of the weirdest things ever when i was driving back from bradford to york last week.

I drove through bishopthorpe at about 11.00pm and was going past the crematorium when there was a "body" lying in the middle of the road, i drove past thinking i was dreaming and looked in the rear view mirror and there it was in the middle of the road lying along the central lines!!!

I turned round and called the police (thinking he'd been squished) got out of the car with my hazard lights on and tried to wake the guy to find out that he was pissed and had fallen asleep in the middle of the road.

He would'nt budge so i had to stay there till and ambulance and the police arrived to check him out and cart him off!!!!!

Eurovision Party Update!

All is progressing nicely with the party on saturday night. We've now got about 25 coming (so much for no more parties in 2007!) So far we've got people dressing up a frenchmen, gondoliers, german fraus, airline pilots, air stewardess, terry wogan, katie boyly and someone in lederhosen!! The cheesy music has been burnt, the fancy lights have been delivered and the euro flags have arrived on mass from party packs... Watch out for the pictures next week!

Saltaire Back Passage Update

We had a weird called today, a national magazine is doing a feature on urban gardens (in other words poxy backyards with plants!) and they are possibly going to do a feature on our front and back garden in sunny saltaire..... a bit surreal really!

Anyway the garden is coming along nicely for the competition in July. The buddha's are in place and the flowers are starting to bloom!

York Barbican Centre aka Barbican't Centre

Grrr it still gets me down about barbican you know. It brought it all back when i was walking past a few weeks back and had a nosey in and look what i found still above the door! I haven't worked there for three and a half years now!

Hopefully now after our Lib Dem friends got a beating in York over their C**k ups we maybe able to get this venue reopened / refurbished.

I've got a lot of happy memories there and its just a shame whats become of the place :0(
